Spartanburg City Council Holds October Meeting Today

The City Council of Spartanburg, South Carolina, will hold a meeting on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 5:30 PM. The meeting will take place in the County Council Chambers located at 366 N. Church Street.

The agenda for the meeting includes:

- A moment of silence

- The Pledge of Allegiance

- Approval of the minutes from the previous meeting on September 23, 2024

- Approval of the current agenda

- A public comment session, with forms available for residents to fill out prior to the meeting

Mayor Jerome Rice, Jr. will present a proclamation declaring October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Two resolutions are also on the agenda:

1. Consent to placing certain property within the corporate limits of Spartanburg in a Joint Industrial and Business Park with Cherokee County, presented by City Attorney Robert P. Coler.

2. A second resolution with similar consent regarding property placement in the Joint Industrial and Business Park.

Meeting attendees are reminded of the change in location for future gatherings, which will continue to take place in the Spartanburg County Council Chambers. For a complete agenda, residents can download it from the City of Spartanburg's official website.
