**Spartanburg County School District Six Announces Two-Hour Delay for January 13, 2025**

Spartanburg County School District Six has announced that all schools in the district will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 13, 2025. The decision was made following a safety assessment of road conditions by the district's safety team.

While most roads in the area are clear, some icy patches remain on back roads, particularly in the northern parts of the county. These conditions could create potential safety risks for buses, student drivers, and staff traveling to schools. The additional two hours will help improve visibility in daylight and give the icy areas more time to thaw, ensuring safer travel for everyone.

Here are the adjusted start times for the district’s schools:

- **Elementary Schools:** Tardy bell at 9:45 AM.

- **Middle Schools:** Tardy bell at 10:00 AM. Students report to homeroom.

- **Dorman Freshman Campus:** Tardy bell at 10:10 AM. Students begin with 1st block.

- **Dorman Main Campus:** Tardy bell at 10:20 AM. Students begin with 1st block.

- **Child Development Center:** Morning classes that normally dismiss at 10:15 AM are canceled.

- **RDA and MSC:** Will begin accepting students at 3rd block.

Bus schedules will also be adjusted to accommodate the delay. Buses will arrive two hours later than their normal pickup times. For example, a bus that regularly arrives at 6:30 AM will now arrive at approximately 8:30 AM.

The district has expressed its gratitude for the community’s understanding and patience, reminding everyone that safety remains their top priority.
